Los Angeles Lakers Interested In Chris Paul & Dwight Howard

ESPN’s Chris Broussard and his band of merry, anonymous sources set the wheels in motion by saying the Lakers are unofficially officially in the running to grab not just Dwight Howard but Chris Paul too. According to Broussard, the Lakers are willing to part with anyone on their roster not named Kobe Bryant in order to bring in the two young superstars. The only question(s) remaining would be how the organization will pull off the move(s) but they do have trade bait – Odom, Bynum and Gasol – and the money available to possibly make it happen.

I’ll believe this blockbuster when it happens. After their playoff exit last season, we speculated the Lakers would embark on major moves in order to shake things up and, despite fans’ efforts to keep him, Dwight has already expressed his frustration with Orlando and the desire to search for greener grass. The wild card here is Paul, who was most recently rumored to be eyeing the Knicks.
